WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. — Junior goalkeeper Eliza Teplow tied her career-high with 11 saves to lead the Northeastern women's soccer team to a 0-0 draw with Monmouth on Sunday afternoon in the season finale.
- Teplow was outstanding in goal for the Huskies, making 11 saves to preserve the shutout and earn the draw on the road. The junior goalkeeper made key stops throughout the match, including three saves in the opening 16 minutes to keep the game scoreless.
- The Huskies showed resilience and defensive discipline for the full 90 minutes, with Teplow anchoring a strong defensive effort that held firm under pressure securing a third shutout on the season.Â
- Northeastern generated momentum in the second half, recording five shots after managing just one in the opening frame. Freshman Nicole Bartlett's shot in the 63rd minute forced a save from the Monmouth goalkeeper as the Huskies pushed for the breakthrough.
- Senior Lauren Dupont and graduate student Bridget Gleason and senior Maggie Cochran all created chances for the Huskies, while freshman Ava Gialanella played the full 90 minutes in the back line.
- Despite the hard-fought draw, results elsewhere around the Coastal Athletic Association meant the Huskies fell just short of a CAA Tournament berth, closing out the 2025 season with a 3-8-6 overall record and 2-4-3 mark in conference play.
The Huskies will look to build on the strong defensive performance as they turn their attention to the 2026 season.
