BURLINGTON, Vt.— Despite two third period goals, the No. 14 Northeastern women's hockey team dropped a 3-2 decision to the Vermont Catamounts on Friday afternoon.

• A quiet first period gave way to a quick three goals for the Catamounts in the second frame. Vermont jumped out to a 3-0 lead, scoring all three goals just 4:01 into the second.
• Freshman goaltender Lisa Jönsson was pulled and sophomore Mattie Robitzer entered the net for the Huskies at the 4:01 mark of the second.
• In the third frame, Northeastern got on the scoreboard with junior Lily Brazis tapping one in to cut the deficit to 3-1 in her 100^th career game. Brazis put in a shot on goal from senior Taze Thompson and junior Holly Abela picked up the secondary assist.
• Senior Skylar Irving scored three minutes and 41 seconds after Brazis to bring the score to 3-2. Irving took the puck from just beyond the Huskies blueline all the way to goal after graduate student Jaden Bogden and senior Taylor Guarino played her the puck. Guarino's assist marked her first career point. 
• The Huskies emptied the net with 1:23 remaining in the game looking for the equalizer but were unable to tie the game and the Catamounts claimed the 3-2 victory.
• Jönsson finished with five saves, while Robitzer made 10 and allowed zero goals in her relief effort.

Northeastern will close out the regular season against Vermon on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 1:30 p.m.
