ORONO, Maine— The No. 13/12 Northeastern women's hockey team dropped a 2-0 contest to the Maine Black Bears on Friday night at Alfond Arena.

• Maine scored the first goal of the game with 1:30 remaining on the clock in the second period to take a 1-0 lead into the final frame.
• In the third, the Huskies pulled goaltender Lisa Jönsson with 2:14 remaining in the game in favor of the extra skater to try an even the score. The Black Bears scored an empty-netter with 13 seconds remaining to bring the final to 2-0.
• Northeastern outshot Maine, 33-29. Senior Skylar Irving led all Huskies with six shots.
• Jönsson finished her night with 27 saves.

Northeastern will next travel to face No. 15 Boston College on Friday, Feb. 14 at 2 p.m.
