BOSTON – Northeastern University men's soccer head coach Jeremy Bonomo has made two additions to his coaching staff, with the hiring of assistant coaches
Jordan Koduah and
John Manga, ahead of the 2025 Fall season.
Koduah joins the Huskies after serving as a player development coach at Oakwood Soccer Club from August 2022 to February 2025, where he was head coach for multiple youth teams including the 2012B NAL and 2015B Pre-MLS Next squads. During his time with Oakwood, Koduah demonstrated exceptional leadership skills while developing young talent in Connecticut's premier soccer development program.
Prior to his time at Oakwood, Koduah brings valuable Division I playing experience, having competed at the University of Hartford (2018-2021) and University of Rhode Island (2021-2022). As a graduate student at URI, Koduah appeared and started in 30 of 31 games during his time as a Ram. During his undergraduate career at Hartford, Koduah helped the Hawks post 12 shutouts over three seasons (2018-20), combining for 24 starts in 33 games played. He was instrumental in leading Hartford to the America East championship game in 2019 and was recognized as an America East Commissioner's Honor Roll student for maintaining a GPA above 3.50.
Koduah is also co-founder of NextPlay Training LLC, an individual and small group soccer training company launched in December 2024. The company recently partnered with Project GOAL Inc. to give back to the community in a meaningful way.
A native of Windsor, Connecticut, Koduah earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Insurance from the University of Hartford in 2021 before completing his MBA at the University of Rhode Island in 2022. He holds both Grassroots 4v4 and 7v7 In-Person Coaching Licenses from the U.S. Soccer Federation, which he obtained in March 2024.
Manga comes to Northeastern after serving as the head men's soccer coach at Georgetown College since July 2024, where he was elevated to permanent head coach in October 2024 after initially being named interim head coach. Before his promotion to head coach, Manga served as an assistant coach at Georgetown College beginning in April 2021, helping to develop the program's competitive edge in the NAIA ranks.
Manga's coaching philosophy was shaped by his exceptional playing career, which included standout performances at the University of Cincinnati from 2012-2016. As a junior in 2014 he earned First Team All-AAC and Second Team All-Ohio honors after becoming the first UC player since 2007 to reach double-digit goals with 10 tallies, along with two assists. During his Cincinnati career, Manga accumulated 16 goals and five assists across four seasons, helping the Bearcats to multiple conference victories. His talent was recognized at the professional level when he was selected by the Colorado Rapids in the 4th round (63rd overall) of the 2016 MLS SuperDraft, and he went on to play professionally for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the USL in 2017.
Born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Manga immigrated to the United States as a youth and settled in Lexington, Kentucky, where he became a standout at Henry Clay High School. He led his team to a state championship in 2010 and earned recognition as Kentucky's Mr. Soccer and All-American honors in 2011. Manga earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management from the University of Cincinnati in 2016. After retiring from professional soccer, he coached at Seacoast United from 2017 until joining Georgetown College, where he has demonstrated his ability to develop talent and lead programs at the collegiate level.
