Flowers, Prado Earn CAA Weekly Honors

RICHMOND, Va. - After the first weekend of NCAA men's soccer action, two Northeastern Huskies were named as Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) players of the week for their performances in a 1-0-1 week. Forward Bryce Flowers was named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week, while wingback Jaden Prado was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week.

Flowers appeared in his first two games as a Northeastern Husky after transferring to NU from Penn State this offseason - he notched his first career goal on Thursday against Holy Cross to force a 1-1 draw, and scored twice on Sunday against Stonehill to take the lead and add insurance midway through the second half. His three goals on the week led the team and the CAA, keep the Huskies unbeaten in their first two games.

A regular 90-minute starter last season, Jaden Prado made his season debut late in the second half of game one against Holy Cross, as he looks to return to full fitness. After a 33-minute performance in game one, he returned to the starting lineup for game two. After falling behind 1-0, Prado set the tone in the second half with the game-tying goal just eight minutes into the half, which was followed by the brace from Bryce Flowers to put the game away. Prado's back line allowed just one goal in the 108 minutes he was on the pitch.
