Huskies Fall At Vermont

BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Northeastern women's swim and dive team fell to Vermont on the road Saturday, as the Catamounts took the meet 158-123 over the Huskies.
  • Alex Fuller opened the win column for Northeastern in the 100 fly, touching the wall first in 56.79, with Mary Nordmann following close behind for a second-place finish.
  • Havana Layton had a standout day, winning both the 50 free (24.34) and the 100 free (52.85). May Bradburn was right there, taking second with a time 24.50 in the 50 free.
  • The Huskies went 1-2 in the 50 fly, as Bradburn claimed the win in 25.73 with Nordmann touching second in 25.79.
  • Northeastern closed out the meet with a victory in the 200 free relay, as the quartet of Nordmann, Fuller, Layton and Bradburn combined for a time of 1:35.84.
  • Sydney Holbach took runner-up honors in the 1-meter dive with a score of 226.65. Kailyn Aquino turned in the top Husky score of the day in the 3-meter with a 229.88 for third place.
The Huskies are back in the water at the Rutgers Invitational, Oct. 9-10.
