BROOKLINE, Mass.— The Northeastern women's soccer team fell to the Hofstra Pride, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon at Parsons Field.
- Just under three minutes into the game, Hofstra scored first to take an early 1-0 lead.
- The Huskies evened the score at 1-1 in the 33rd minute when sophomore Ava Gialanella blasted home a free kick. Freshman Bridget Durkin drew the foul to set up the free kick just outside the box for NU.
- In the second half, the Pride regained a one-goal lead with a goal off a corner kick in the 58th minute of action. NU was unable to find the equalizer, with Hofstra taking home the 2-1 victory.
- Senior goalkeeper Eliza Teplow finished with five saves.
The Huskies will next host Elon on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 6 p.m.
