AMHERST, Mass. – The seventh-seeded Northeastern men's hockey team fell in the Hockey East Quarterfinals 4-1 to the No. 15 and second-seeded UMass Minutemen at the Mullins Center Saturday afternoon.
UMass' Larry Keenan opened the scoring 3:47 into the first period, giving the Minutemen an early 1-0 lead.
Northeastern evened things up at 1-1 with under two minutes left in the first.

Joe Connor into the offensive zone with a stretch pass, and Connor's shot from the left dot created a rebound that
Griffin Erdman buried for his sixth of the season.
UMass reclaimed the lead with 28.5 seconds left in the second, as Jack Musa's goal made it 2-1. Vaclav Mestrasal and Cam O'Neill each tallied in the third to close it out, 4-1.
