BOSTON — The Northeastern men's hockey program announced its eight incoming freshmen for the 2026-27 season, a class comprised of five defensemen, two forwards and one goaltender.
#10 – Trey Jefferis | Freshman | Forward | West Chester, Pa.
Sioux City Musketeers (USHL)
- Skated three seasons with the Sioux City Musketeers (USHL) from 2023-26, totaling 51 points (27g, 24a), third-best on the team, and leading the club in goals
- Helped the Musketeers to two straight playoff berths, including the 2025 Eastern Conference semifinals, tallying 33 points (14g, 19a) during the 2024-25 regular season
- Appeared in 14 games with the Springfield Jr. Blues (NAHL) in 2023-24, collecting 13 points (7g, 6a)
- Played youth hockey with the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers from 2017-23, helping the club to three AYHL championships
#15 – Marcus Kearsey | Freshman | Defenseman | Deer Lake, Newfoundland
Charlottetown Islanders (QMJHL)
- Skated four seasons with the Charlottetown Islanders (QMJHL) from 2022-26, serving as assistant captain in 2023-24 and captain from 2024-26, helping the club to four consecutive playoff appearances
- Collected 161 points (35g, 126a) in 244 career regular season games, recording a career-high 55 points (15g, 40a) in 62 games in 2025-26, leading the team in assists and earning QMJHL Second All-Star Team honors
- Earned the QMJHL Defensive Rookie of the Year award in 2023 and was named to the 2022-23 QMJHL All-Rookie Team
- Played youth hockey with Rothesay Netherwood School and the Western Kings
#18 – Liam O'Keeffe | Freshman | Defenseman | Boston, Mass.
Lone Star Brahmas (NAHL)
- Played for the Lone Star Brahmas (NAHL) during the 2025-26 season, recording seven points (2g, 5a) in 37 games and helping the club reach the Robertson Cup semifinals
- Skated with the Blackfalds Bulldogs (BCHL) for the 2024-25 season, logging four points (1g, 3a) in 45 games
- Spent two seasons with the Boston Jr. Eagles (2022-24), tallying 26 career points (2g, 24a) in 66 games
- Played youth hockey with Dexter Southfield School from 2020-24
#23 – Dawson Sharkey | Freshman | Forward | Souris, Prince Edward Island
Newfoundland Regiment (QMJHL)
- Skated with the Newfoundland Regiment (QMJHL) during the 2025-26 season, serving as assistant captain and finishing third on the team in scoring with 62 points (33g, 29a) in 60 games and was named the team's Unsung Hero Award recipient
- Spent two seasons with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan (QMJHL) from 2023-25, recording 56 points (30g, 26a) in 95 regular season games
- Played youth hockey with the Charlottetown Knights where he was named 2023 Top Forward and Playoff MVP and earned 2023 Second Team All-Star honors for NB/PEI Major U18
- Selected by the Dallas Stars in the sixth round (190th overall) of the 2025 NHL Draft

- Skated with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar (QMJHL) during the 2025-26 season, posting a team-best .926 save percentage and 2.72 goals-against average to go along with two shutouts
- Also appeared in 11 games with the Chicago Steel (USHL) in 2025-26, recording a .899 save percentage, 287 saves, and one shutout
- Spent the 2024-25 season with the New Hampshire Mountain Kings (NAHL), posting a team-best .910 save percentage, 3.07 goals-against average, and three shutouts
- Played youth hockey with Milton Academy and the Cape Cod Whalers

Drummondville Voltigeurs (QMJHL)
- Spent the 2025-26 season with the Drummondville Voltigeurs (QMJHL) as assistant captain, leading all defensemen on the roster with 34 points (8g, 26a) in 63 games
- Skated for the Sioux City Musketeers (USHL) from 2023-25, serving as assistant captain in 2024-25 and recording 23 points (4g, 19a) in 117 games
- Spent two seasons with the Muskegon Lumberjacks (USHL) from 2022-24, tallying 17 points (4g, 13a) in 70 games, and represented Team USA at the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup

- Skated for the Shawinigan Cataractes (QMJHL) from 2021-25, serving as assistant captain in 2023-24 and captain in his final two seasons, posting a career-best 46 points (11g, 35a) in 68 games in 2023-24
- Helped the Cataractes win the Memorial Cup in 2021-22, finishing the postseason with nine points (2g, 7a) in 16 games, third among all rookies
- Played youth hockey with the Trois-Rivières Estacades and the Cascades Elite Bois-Francs

- Skated with the Newfoundland Regiment (QMJHL) during the 2025-26 season as assistant captain, tallying 56 points (7g, 49a) in 62 games, ranking fourth among all QMJHL defensemen in scoring with his 49 assists finishing third
- Spent two seasons with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan (QMJHL) from 2023-25, recording 59 points (16g, 42a) in 128 games, earning three QMJHL Scholastic Player of the Month honors
- Played youth hockey with St-Hyacinthe Gaulois, De Mortagne Noir et Or, and competed in the 2018 World Select Invitational in Bolzano, Italy and the 2016 Brick Invitational Tournament
