Dave Flint Signs Multi-Year Extension

BOSTON— Dave Flint has signed a new multi-year contract to remain the Northeastern women's hockey head coach as announced by Director of Athletics and Recreation Jim Madigan. Flint is the winningest coach in program history (397) and sits 10th all-time among all NCAA women's hockey coaches with 485 career wins.

"I would like to thank Jim Madigan and Northeastern University for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to continue building this program," said Flint. "With our incredible new facility on the horizon, the future of Northeastern women's hockey has never been brighter. We have built a culture of success here that I am deeply proud of, and there is still so much more I want to accomplish. I cannot wait to see what this program continues to achieve."

Flint has guided the Huskies to four Frozen Four appearances, eight NCAA tournament appearances, six Hockey East tournament championships and six Beanpot crowns. Flint holds the Hockey East all-time record with a tournament mark of 39-11 and Northeastern has appeared in 10-straight Hockey East Championship games.

A five-time Hockey East Coach of the Year, Flint has overseen the development of four Patty Kazmaier top-three finalists in Florence Schelling (2012), 2016 award winner, Kendall Coyne Schofield, Alina Mueller (2020, 2023) and 2021 award winner, Aerin Frankel. The architect of Goaltender U., Flint has mentored current Team USA stars Aerin Frankel and Gwyneth Philips along with current two-time National Goalie of the Year Semifinalist, Lisa Jönsson.
