WORCESTER, Mass.- The Northeastern men's soccer team started its season on the road tonight, picking up a 5-0 victory over the Holy Cross Crusaders.
Goals came from freshman Kortay Koç in the 24th minute in the first half and again in the second half in the 49th minute. Koç two goals were followed by sophomore Will Schmidt in the 66th, freshman Tate Duax in the 83rd, and junior Bryce Flowers in the 90th minute.

Koç, Schmidt, and Duax tallied their first collegiate goals in their careers. Koç first was a penalty kick and second was fed in on the far side of the goal. Schmidt ripped a kick from outside the box in the top right corner; Duax outran a defender to sneak one by the goalie on the short side.

Flowers' goal tonight was his sixth goal in his career with the Huskies.
Northeastern will continue its state road trip by heading south of Boston to Stonehill College, where they will take on the Skyhawks on Sunday, Aug. 23 at 1 p.m.
