RICHMOND, Va. - Grad student Molly Latincsics and senior Ryan Sarney each earned CAA weekly awards as announced by the conference on Monday. Latincsics claimed Co-Women's Runner of the Week and Sarney claimed Men's Runner of the Week.
Both runners helped guide Northeastern to third-place finishes in their respective men's and women's races on Saturday at the Maribel Sanchez Invitational in Hanover, N.H.
Latincsics first weekly awards honor comes from finishing first for the Huskies and fourth overall with a time of 21:04.6. Her finish was also the fourth-fastest 6K time in school history.
Sarney's honor came from finishing first for the Huskies and sixth overall with a time of 24:54.4.
Latincsics, Sarney, and the Huskies return to action on Saturday, Oct. 17, for the IC4A/ECAC Championships in Farmingdale, N.Y.
