2016-17: Appeared in three games, including one start ... Made his collegiate debut in the third period against No. 9 Notre Dame (Nov. 12) ... Recorded a shutout with 22 saves against No. 9 Notre Dame (Nov. 13) in his first collegiate start ... Had six saves in relief at No. 19 Providence (Nov. 19).

2015-16: Did not play in any games.

Before NU: Spent the 2013-14 season playing for the New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs of the Eastern Junior Hockey League under coaches Ryan Frew and Frank Golden ... EHL regular season champions ... EHL First Team All-Star ... EHL Goaltender of the year ... Led the EHL in wins with a 24-3-0 record ... In 2010-11 as a High school senior at De La Salle Collegiate, was the All-State "Dream Team" goaltender for the state of Michigan ... Also was a "Iron Man" athlete at the Collegiate. 
 
Personal: Son of Ed and Kathie Theut ...Father Ed attended the Detroit Red Wings camp in 1984 ... Noteworthy cousins: Ali Bastianelli (Illinois, volleyball), Matt DeBlouw (Michigan State, men's ice hockey), Kim Theut (Ohio State '13, women's ice hockey), Sammy Theut (Wisconsin-Milwaukee '13, women's basketball), Joe DeLamielleure (Michigan State '72, football, All-American, NFL All-Pro, Buffalo Bills, Hall of Fame 2003) … Intends to major in business ... Madigan on Jake Theut: Jake is a big kid, covers up a lot of space, has a really good attitude, and is someone who's really hardworking and a driven young man who will compete at the goaltending position with all of our goaltenders. We're thrilled with him and every good program needs three quality goaltenders and we're fortunate, I believe, to have two really good goaltenders returning and Jake adding to that mix.
