Madigan on Shea: "Ryan is a left defenseman who played locally at Boston College High School and played for the USHL this year. Unfortunately for Ryan, he was out the first half of the year with a shoulder injury, but he came through it fine and played the last thirty games with Youngstown. He’s a smart, puck moving defenseman with high-end offensive skills who converted back to defense four years ago. He breaks you out of your zone really well, he’s smart, intelligent, and we’re excited for him to be here. Ryan will come in and make contributions immediately to this group of defensemen, and he will continue to get better as his career progresses."
