Biography

2019: 
  • Stroked the first varsity boat to a time of 6:52.29 against the likes of Rutgers, Syracuse, Minnesota, Navy and Penn. Ultimately finishing sixth at the Doc Hosea Invite (3/30)
  • The seven seat for the first varsity boat, Anna helped her team to a second place finish in 6:55.227 against BU and BC boats at the Council Cup (4/6)
  • The four seat for the first varsity, helped the team to a 7:39.8 finish behind Columbia at the Woodbury Cup (4/13)
  • Sat in the six seat for the first varsity as they raced to a time of 7:43.097 against Radcliffe and Yale (4/27)
  • Was in the two seat for first varsity as they finished sixth with a time of 6:54.244 at the Eastern Sprints (5/5)
  • As the four seat for the second varsity, raced to a first-place time of 6:57.607 at the CAA Championships (5/19)
  • Raced for the second varsity in the six seat as they placed fifth in the C final with a time of 6:36.083, finishing 17th in the nation at the NCAA Championships (5/31-6/2).
  • As the three seat for the championship eight boat, helped the crew to a top-20 finish at the Head of the Charles (10/23)
2017:
  • In the five seat, helped the first varsity to victory in the Murphy Cup (3/25) with a four second win over the field at 6:19.05
  • Sat in the five seat for the first varsity at the Doc Hosea Invitational (4/1-2), finishing third in the Grand Final with a time of 6:35.19
  • Was the six seat for the second varsity against Columbia (4/8), winning the race by four seconds at 7:01.7
  • In the six seat, helped the second varsity to a first place finish against Michigan State, Boston University and Massachusetts (4/22) with a time of 6:42.684
  • Sat in the six seat as the 2V captured the silver medal at the Eastern Sprints (4/30) with a time of 7:07.5 in the Grand Final
  • Was the six seat for the second varsity at the CAA Championships (5/14), winning the race by 14 seconds with a time of 6:43.517
  • In the six seat, helped the 2V to a fourth place finish at the C Final at the NCAA Championships (5/26-28) at 6:55.679 to finish 16th in the nation
  • Competed in the Senior Eights at the Henley Women’s Regatta (6/16-18).
Before NU: Rowed out of the Baltimore Rowing Club for two years ... Also played four years at basketball while attending Severna Park High School, where she was named a Maryland Academic All-Star.

Personal: Born to John and Beth Kaplan ... Her father rowed at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and her mother rowed at Mount Holyoke ... Intends to major in electrical engineering ... Class of 2020.
