Biography

2019: 
  • The coxswain in varsity four A, she led her team to a win in the petite final (7:50.10) against Penn, Columbia, Dartmouth, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Boston University at the Doc Hosea Invite (3/30)
  • The coxswain for the varsity four A, she led her team to a 7:59.114 finish, beating BU and BC at the Council Cup (4/6)
  • The coxswain for the varsity four A boat, led the team to a first place finish against Columbia at the Woodbury Cup (4/13)
  • The cox for varsity four, led her boat to a fifth place finish (7:50.353) at the Eastern Sprints (5/5)
  • Was the coxswain for the varsity four as they placed second with a time of 8:03.983 at the CAA Championships (5/19)
  • Sat as the coxswain for the varsity four as they placed fifth in the C final with a time of 7:28.544, finishing 18th in the nation at the NCAA Championships (5/31-6/2).
  • Led the club eight crew to a top-25 finish at the Head of the Charles (10/23)

2017: 
  • Coxed the second varsity to a third place finish in the grand final at the Murphy Cup (Mar. 25) at 6:36.09 and the second varsity four to a fifth place finish (7:44.46)
  • Guided the second varsity to a third place finish in the Grand Final of the Doc Hosea Invitational (Apr. 1-2) with a time of 6:52.09
  • Was the coxswain for the second varsity against Columbia (Apr. 8), winning the race by four seconds at 7:01.7
  • Coxed the second varsity to a first place finish against Michigan State, Boston University and Massachusetts (Apr. 22) with a time of 6:42.684
  • Guided the 2V to a silver medal at the Eastern Sprints (Apr. 30) with a time of 7:07.5 in the Grand Final
  • Was the coxswain for the second varsity at the CAA Championships (May 14), winning the race by 14 seconds with a time of 6:43.517
  • Coxed the 2V to a fourth place finish at the C Final at the NCAA Championships (May 26-28) at 6:55.679 to finish 16th in the nation
  • Competed in the Senior Eights at the Henley Women’s Regatta (Jun. 16-18).

Before NU: Samantha started her coxing career at the Norwalk River Rowing Association. This fall she worked with Junior National Team coach, Liz Trond as a member of the Connecticut Boat Club and has made the most out of that opportunity. Sam is a honors student and is a Member of the National Honor Society.
