Qualified for the New England and IC4A/ECAC Championships in the 5000m (17:16.47, eighth on all-time NU outdoor performance list) at the Raleigh Relays (Mar. 30) … Placed third in the 1500m (4:41.70) at the Jay Carisella Coaches Invitational (Apr. 20) … Finished sixth in the 5000m (17:52.38) at the CAA Championships (May 3-4) … Placed third in the 3000m with a time of 9:59.85, good for fourth on the all-time NU outdoor performance list, at the IC4A/ECAC Championships (May 11-12).

INDOOR
Finished sixth in the mile (5:00.78) at the Battle in Beantown (Jan. 12) … Championed the 3000m (9:54.36) at the Joe Donahue Games (Jan. 18) … Championed the 3000m again (9:50.99) at the New England Championships (Feb. 1-2) … Set a new personal best in the 5000m (16:49.45) at the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational (Feb. 8-9) … Placed sixth in the mile (5:01.49) at the BU Last Chance Qualifier (Feb. 24) … Set a new personal best in the 3000m (9:39.77) at the IC4A/ECAC Championships (Mar. 1-3).

Before NU: Ran cross country and track at New Mexico State University before coming to Northeastern... Ran track & XC at Las Cruces High School her senior year where her team was named the 2017 Western Athletic Conference XC Champions... Swam all four years of high school and served as team captain... Named to the All-WAC team for both XC & track 2017-2018... 

Personal: Salas is getting her MBA as a Husky and hopes to find a career in environmental sustainability merged with business objectives, or non profit management... Earned Dean's List at NMSU... Enjoys painting, swimming and scuba diving... parents both ran at NMSU and brother currently runs at University of Portland.
