AWARDS & HONORS:
- Hockey East All-Academic (2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21)
2020-21:
- Matched a career-high six goals, and added two assists in 25 games played
- Recorded a multi-point game (1-1-2) vs. Holy Cross (2/6)
- Scored in back-to-back games vs. UNH (2/14) and at UVM (2/19)
- Scored a goal and assist in the Hockey East Final vs. Providence (3/6)
2019-20:
- Recorded a career-high six goals, seven assists and 13 points in 35 games
- Potted the game-winning goal against the Terriers on Nov. 2
- Recorded the first multi-point effort of her career with two goals in the 6-0 win over Holy Cross (Nov. 8)
- Posted a career-high three points off one goal and two assists in the 4-0 victory at Vermont on Jan. 24.
2018-19:
- Notched three goals and two assists in 36 games
- Assisted on a Matti Hartman goal in a 5-2 win over No. 8/7 Colgate on Oct. 13
- Scored in a 6-1 victory at Holy Cross on Nov. 2
- Potted an empty-net goal in a 5-3 comeback win over UNH on Nov. 10
- Scored her first career shorthanded goal in a 4-1 win at UConn on Jan. 19.
2017-18:
- Appeared in 19 games and tallied one goal
- Registered her first collegiate goal in a 5-1 win over Syracuse on Oct. 20.
Before NU: Comes from the Lansing Spartans Hockey Club...piled up 263 points from 2013-17 and was named the team’s Top Forward three times...helped Lansing capture the Tier-I Elite League regular season championship in 2014-15...also starred in lacrosse and was named MVP and Offensive Player of the Year in both 2013-14 and 2014-15.
Personal: Tessa Michele Ward...daughter of Edward and Kristine Ward...father played in the NHL for 10 years with five different organizations (1993-01)...has four brothers...brother, Keegan, plays hockey at Northern Michigan University...brother, Cullen, plays with the Lincoln Stars (USHL)...enjoys knitting, juggling, being a food connoisseur and playing professional sewer... will graduate Northeastern with a major in cell and molecular biology and a minor in psychology.
