Christine McCarthy Clark, MS, RD, LDN
Christine McCarthy Clark is the coordinator and instructor for the College of Professional Studies (CPS) Master of Science in Applied Nutrition. She is a part-time nutrition instructor for Bouve College of Health Science for Northeastern undergraduate students as well. She has been teaching nutrition classes at Northeastern University for about 10 years while also serving as a consultant for Dining Services where she has helped to customize menus and consult with students regarding food allergies. Â Christine has also worked at Children's Hospital in Boston for many years where she worked as a clinical and outpatient dietician specializing in food allergies. Christine has also worked with the Brigham and Women's hospital where her main responsibilities were performing assessments as well as provide nutritional interventions for those patients. She also provided nutrition support services for a number of research studies through the General Clinical Research Center (GCRC) at Children's Hospital and has published her work on food allergies in the Manual of Pediatric Nutrition.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition from Framingham State College and her Master of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Delaware where she focused her research on disordered eating among male and female athletes. Â
Christine's new role is working with Northeastern Athletic Department to create nutritional interventions for athletes to promote optimal performance while ensuring lifelong wellness. Christine will oversee all nutritional interventions provided to student athletes and create curriculum for students to follow. Her involvement with Athletics will augment the care our students currently receive while solidifying further the strong relationship between Sports Performance, UHCS, and Dining Services.
