NU third at Blue Devil Invitational

Redshirt freshman Teddy Vrountas placed second overall, leading Northeastern to a third-place finish at the Blue Devil Invitational at Central Connecticut State on Friday night in New Britain, Conn. Vrountas, who only ran indoor track last year, ran a time of 26:44 for the tough five-mile course.
Dan Clayton was the second Husky over the line, placing seventh in 28:08 and transfer student Kyle Audet was 14th in 28:39. Freshman Sebastian Putzeys took 16th in 28:40 and Bryan Brunelli rounded out the Huskies' top five, placing 20th in 28:49.
The men's cross country team skips over the Dartmouth Invitational on Sept. 13 but is back in action at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Sept. 30 in Dartmouth, Mass.
