The men's cross country team had its best showing of the season with three runners in the top 10 to place second at the Fairfield Invitational in Fairfield, Conn. on Oct. 4. The hosts won the meet with a score of 37 while the Huskies had 55 points. Junior Jon Litchfield led the team, placing third overall in a time of 28:15 on the difficult course. Freshman James Richard was close behind, placing fifth in a time of 28:32 and freshman Jared Paul finished seventh in 28:36. Terry Dougherty and Steve Carlson rounded out the Huskies' top five, placing 19th and 21st, respectively.
