Northeastern finished seventh out of nine teams in its first-ever Colonial Athletic Association cross country championship on Saturday in Wilmington, N.C. It was also the first CAA Championship competition for Northeastern Athletics. William & Mary won its sixth-straight CAA title with a dominant score of 26 points. The Huskies totalled 213 to stay ahead of UNC Wilmington and George Mason.
Sophomore Tom Brown was Northeastern's top finisher in 44th and a time of 27:07. Juniors Will Davidian and TJ Niles weren't far behind, in 48th and 52nd, respectively. Rounding out the Huskies' scorers were Brian Van Epps (58th) and freshman Ricky Fendorak (62nd).
Northeastern hosts the NCAA Northeast Regional at Franklin Park on Saturday, Nov. 12, where teams from New England and New York will be competing for berths to the NCAA Championship.
