The women's cross country team beat conference rival Albany 26-29 and lost to Boston University 16-43 on Sept. 13 at Franklin Park. Senior Meaghan Shaw placed fifth overall in a time of 19:24, the best time of her career at NU. Freshman Amy Hicks took 10th overall in a time of 19:54 and was followed closely by freshman Emily Watson, who placed 11th in 19:57. Sophomore Amber Cullen placed 13th in 20:06 and freshman Erin Ballard took 15th in 20:11 to round out the Huskies' top five.
