A MESSAGE FROM HEAD COACH JOHN POJEDNIC50 YEARS IN PHOTOS
Reflecting on my 15 years of coaching the men’s rowing program, I come back to the same two, overriding emotions: pride and ambition. From the very beginning, the program’s founders had the uncanny ability to put all the pieces together—from hiring the right coaches to building competitive teams that immediately evoked admiration and respect. Fifty years on, we can all take pride in having created a competitive culture that has earned its rightful place among the country’s elite. The story of this program has been one of steady progress and consistency. Now and in the future, my staff and I are focused on one ultimate goal: to become the best Division I rowing program in the United States and consistently contend for medals in all boat classes at the Eastern Sprints and the IRA National Championship.

As we celebrate our storied past, what better way to remember our humble beginnings, our championship teams, and the special bond that unites all Northeastern oarsmen, than through a collection of photos. We have assembled a selection of images that celebrate our considerable success. Visit the online gallery HERE.

We invite you—the very men who forged this program—to share your photos with us. Email your photos to GoNUathletics@gmail.com and we will add them to our online gallery so that all alumni and friends of Northeastern Men's Rowing can enjoy the images.

REMEMBERING THOSE WHO FORGED OUR SUCCESSCELEBRATE YOUR PRIDE WITH COMMEMORATIVE MEMORABILIA
Throughout the anniversary year, we will take time to profile alumni who—either during their time at Henderson Boathouse or in the years after—have left a lasting legagcy on the men's rowing program. Check back often to read the latest stories.
