• Northeastern secured home ice in the Hockey East quarterfinals, which will be held at Matthews Arena on the weekend of Mar. 9-11. It’s the first time since 2009 that the Huskies will be home for the conference quarterfinals.
• Northeastern can finish anywhere from first to third in the final Hockey East standings.
• Saturday was Northeastern’s 19th win of the season, tied for the seventh most in single-season history.
• The Huskies now have 13 wins in Hockey East play for the sixth time in program history.
• Saturday gave Northeastern its first weekend sweep of Vermont at Gutterson Fieldhouse since Jan. 27-28, 2012.
INDIVIDUAL
• Adam Gaudette reached 50 points on the season Saturday night. He’s the fourth Husky in the last two seasons to record 50 points (Zach Aston-Reese, Dylan Sikura, Gaudette in 2016-17).
• Gaudette leads the nation in scoring (51 points), goals (27) and points per game (1.59), while Sikura leads the nation in assists (30).
• Gaudette is now tied for 13th on Northeastern’s career goals list (65), while Dylan Sikura is tied for 14th on Northeastern’s all-time assists list (86)
• Gaudette has points in 15 of his last 18 games (19 goals, 14 assists), including a current five-game point and goal scoring streak (eight goals, four assists).
• Sikura reached 30 assists for the second straight season on Saturday.
• Sikura tied a season-long by extending his point streak to six games (two goals, nine assists).
