Before Northeastern: Placed seventh at the Outdoor Massachusetts All-State Championships in the mile run … Earned fifth place in the two-mile run at the Indoor New Balance Nationals Emerging Elite … Took sixth place at the Indoor Massachusetts All-State Championship in the two-mile … Claimed bronze in the two-mile event at the Indoor Massachusetts Division II State Championships … In 2013, placed 11th at the Indoor New England Championships in the two-mile run.

Coach Erickson on Adrian Amaya: Adrian is an exciting student-athlete to add to the mix of the men's distance program. He brings solid experience on the track in the ranges we are looking for with the incoming crew on the distance side. What speaks volumes to us about Adrian is his character and ability to mesh well with athletes across the different event areas. This is a quality that we value immensely and are excited that Adrian's contagious personality will really be able to keep our team's bond strong for the next five years.
