Before Northeastern: Appeared in 104 games in three seasons at Massachusetts (HEA), recording 20 goals and 30 assists … As a junior in 2017-18, saw action in 33 games and contributed 11 points (five goals, six assists), with nine of his 11 points (four goals, five assists) coming in Hockey East contests… In 2016-17, appeared in 36 games, and was third on the team with 15 points (five goals, 10 assists) and a team-high 75 shots … Led the team with nine power play points (four goals, five assists) … As a freshman in 2015-16, led all rookies and was third on the team with 24 points (10 goals, 14 assists), including a team-high three game-winning goals and four power play tallies that was tied for first on the team.

Madigan on Plevy: "Austin graduated in three years from UMass and is joining us for his final year of eligibility. Austin had a tremendous freshman year where he had 10 goals and 14 assists for 24 points, which is extremely good in this league especially for a freshman. His last two years, he didn't play in the same type of situations as he did his freshman year with a coaching change there, and his role was a bit redefined but still ended up with 15 points in his last two years. We believe his offensive abilities will contribute to us and our team. What I like about graduate transfers is that he's been in a program for three years, he understands what it takes to compete not only at the college level, but in Hockey East. He's played in the competitive league, and we expect him to provide some leadership in our program."
