Mike Condon enters his first season as Northeastern’s volunteer assistant goaltending coach after retiring due to injuries following an eight-year professional career that included 129 NHL games.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER
  • Started career with Ontario Reign (ECHL), signing in 2013 and going 3-1-0 before moving to the Houston Aeros (AHL) in that same season, starting five games with three wins
  • Moved to Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) the following season where he went 23-12-4 with a .931 save percentage and 2.18 goals against average
  • Holds the franchise shutout record in a season (6), second all-time in save percentage (.931) and third all-time in wins (24)
  • The following year, Condon played for the Hamilton Bulldogs (AHL) with a record of 23-19-4, with a 2.44 GAA and .924 save percentage and four shutouts. Midway through the season, Condon would sign a two-year extension with the Canadiens
  • Made the Montreal Canadiens opening night roster the following year and appeared in 55 NHL games his rookie season compiling a record of 21-25-6
  • Claimed on waivers by the Pittsburgh Penguins and traded to the Ottawa Senators after only appearing in one game
  • Appeared in 40 games including 28 in a row with a record of 19-14-6 for the Senators, with a 2.50 GAA and .914 save percentage
  • Signed a three-year contract extension with the Ottawa Senators in the summer of 2017
  • The following year he appeared in 31 games with a record of 5-17-5 with a .902 save percentage and 3.25 GAA
  • Condon appeared in a total of 129 NHL hockey games with a record of 45-53-17 with a 2.80 GAA and .905 save percentage including six shutouts
COLLEGE CAREER (PRINCETON UNIVERSITY)
  • Appeared in 53 games in four years at Princeton University, for a career record of 18-22-8, with a .912 save percentage and 2.65 goals against average
  • He was All-Academic Ivy League team his senior and junior year, while being a second team All-Academic Ivy League his senior year
  • Condon signed an entry level contract with the Montreal Canadiens on May 5th, 2013 and graduated Princeton University with a degree in political science and international relations
HIGH SCHOOL ACCOLADES (BELMONT HILL SCHOOL)
  • Grew up in Holliston and Needham, Mass. and attended and played hockey at the Belmont Hill School where went 20-8-2 in goal as a senior with a 2.23 goals-against average and had a .934 save percentage
  • Named the Independent School League’s Most Valuable Player
  • Member of the All-ISL and All-New England teams
  • Boston Globe All-Scholastic honor and his team’s Most Valuable Player 
  • Went 22-7-3 with a 2.06 goals-against and a .931 save percentage as a junior, plus an All-ISL choice and his team’s Most Valuable Player
