Niz Shaikh enters her ninth full season with the Northeastern men’s and women’s ice hockey programs as the operations coordinator. She oversees all aspects of the administrative functions for both teams, organizes the hockey teams’ special events and has other roles within the Northeastern athletics department.
In her role, Shaikh coordinates game-day and travel arrangements for the Huskies, manages ticket allotments for team and staff, and serves as a team liaison with the compliance office. She also maintains expense reconciliations and supervises work-study students. She previously worked with the team equipment staff for two seasons.
In 2016, she was named the winner of the prestigious Fernie Flaman Award, presented to a benefactor of the program who has demonstrated the commitment and dedication of Coach Flaman to making Northeastern hockey a success.
Shaikh graduated from Northeastern in 2014 with a degree in criminal justice and a minor in law and public policy. She also earned her MBA in 2018 from Northeastern and resides in Boston.
