Before NU: Drafted in the fifth round (127th overall) by the San Jose Sharks in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft...four-year varsity member of The Governor’s Academy men’s hockey program…named team captain as a senior and tallied 40 points en route to earning First Team All-ISL (Independent School League) honors…switched to defense as a junior and tallied 17 points from the blue line…as a sophomore, he submitted 29 points and in his first season, logged 12 points at the forward position…also was a four-year varsity member of The Governor’s Academy baseball team…reaped All-ISL honors as a senior and was award the club’s Most Valuable Player honor in 2010…captain the team as a junior and senior.
Personal: Born Dec. 19, 1991...graduated from The Governor’s Academy...brother, Benn, played at Boston College from 2005-09 and was originally selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2006 Draft (seventh round – 196th overall) but was then signed as a free agent by San Jose in September 2009…aspires to play professional hockey...Class of 2014.
