Before NU: Played the 2015-16 season for the Merritt Centennials (BCHL), recording 38 points (nine goals, 29 assists) in 58 games, which was tied for eighth in the league in scoring among defensemen … Had points streaks of three games or more at three points during the season, which included a season-high four-point night (one goal, three assists) on Feb. 5 against Salmon Arm … Was fourth in the BCHL with 118 penalty minutes … Also played three seasons for the New Jersey Rockets (EHL), where he logged 18 goals and 29 assists in 82 career games.

Personal: Born to Mike and Linda Fiorentino ... Has one sibling, Lauren ... Intends to major in business ... Class of 2020.
 
Madigan on Fiorentino: Nick is a defenseman who we recruited a little bit later in the season, and is a young man who brings a bit of a different dimension to our core. He’s a physical, big, strong defenseman. He gets around the ice really well, he has really solid puck skills that can make simple break out plays. He keeps his game in front of him and simple, but he’ll give us that toughness and grittiness down low and heaviness that Darou and Fennell provided. I like the blend of what he brings along with the other two defensemen. He’ll be biding, as will the others, for some quality ice time on the backside.
