• Scored game winner in overtime vs Boston University in Beanpot semifinals (2/4)
• Recorded a career-high 8 shots 2/16/19 vs Vermont
• Had goal to help Northeastern beat Boston University in Hockey East semifinals (3/22)
• Had goal to help Northeastern sweep Maine in Hockey East quarterfinals (3/15-16)
• Brought home the silver medal for Team USA at the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship

Before Northeastern: Selected in the third round (68th overall) by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2018 NHL Draft … Ranked No. 39 among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting and No. 87 by Future Considerations … Ranked second in fatigue index (14.0) during the Wingate Test at the 2018 NHL Combine … Played the 2017-18 season in the USHL for Central Illinois (18 games) and Tri-City (32 games) … Finished the season with 34 points (15 goals, 19 assists) to earn USHL All-Rookie Second Team honors, recording eight multi-point games and point streaks of three games or longer on three occasions … Scored two goals at the USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game to be named Team East MVP … Named to the U.S. Junior Select Team for World Junior A Challenge in November 2017 … Also played for Avon Old Farms for two seasons, recording 64 points (25 goals, 39 assists) in 48 games and captaining the team during the 2016-17 season.
 
Personal: Son of John Madden, a three-time Stanley Cup winner who played in 898 NHL games, recording 165 goals and 340 points … Madden won the Selke Trophy as the NHL's Best Defensive Forward in 2001 and is currently the head coach of the AHL's Cleveland Monsters (Columbus affiliate) ... Class of 2022.

Madigan on Madden: "When you look at Tyler, you look at a highly skilled, intelligent two-way player. People get enamored with his offense and his offensive ability, which they should because they're at a high level, but he plays a 200-foot game and he's got grit. When you look at his body makeup, it's like Dylan Sikura: a 5'10'' frame on 155 pounds. There are some similarities between their two games, and I don't want to make unfair predictions for Tyler because of what Sikura's did here, but Tyler has the ability to be that high end offensive player over four years. Tyler is someone who we expect to come in and be in our top six forwards right off the bat and contribute offensively. He's in that category with some of our other forwards who have had tremendous success here. We expect big things."
