Kyle MacKinnon was named an assistant athletic trainer at Northeastern in 2015. He works primarily with the women's soccer and baseball teams.
Before he came to Northeastern, Kyle did a summer research fellowship with the Korey Stringer Institute at the University of Connecticut. Kyle graduated from Ithaca College in the spring of 2015 with a bachelor of science degree in Athletic Training. At his time in Ithaca, he gained clinical experience with teams at both Ithaca and Cornell, completed an internship with Cayuga Medical Center, and was a four-year member and captain of the varsity track and field team.
MacKinnon grew up in Marlborough, Mass. He took an interest in sports medicine after a series of injuries throughout high school. He currently lives in Brighton, Mass.
