Entering his first season as an assistant coach for Northeastern, Augusto Lima joins the Men's Soccer coaching staff for the 2022 fall season.

A newcomer to Huntington Ave, assistant coach Augusto Lima joined the staff in May from the University of Rochester. The Yellow Jackets went 9-4-4 in Lima's time with the University, holding opponents goalless through the first five games of the season. He joined Rochester after spending two seasons at Bucknell. Serving as assistant coach with the Bison, Lima helped coach Bucknell to the Patriot League semifinals in 2019. Lima played his collegiate soccer at Susquehanna University, backstopping the River Hawks to two Landmark Conference championships. He was named a team captain for the River Hawks and appeared in 27 career games in goal. His name sits in the Susquehanna record books with a third-best goals against average in program history, and the fourth-most shut outs and wins.

"We are elated to welcome Augusto to Boston," said Weinrebe. "During the hiring process, it was apparent that he is a high character individual, who our student-athletes will gravitate towards. Not only is he a tremendous coach, with the versatility to work with goalkeepers, but his ability to bring a different outlook to our recruiting, play style, and preparation, will help drive the program forward as we pursue CAA championships and NCAA Tournament appearances."
