Ian De Oliveira joined Northeastern in the 2023 season from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, where he served as the team's goalkeeper coach. Under Oliveira, the Herd allowed just 0.74 goals per game in the 2022 season, holding opponents scoreless seven times including their opening game of the NCAA tournament against Elon. While working with the goalkeepers, Oliveira also dealt with opponent scouting, performance analysis, and game review. Oliveira also was a goalkeeper coach for West Virginia United in the USL2 division. In his playing days, Oliveira was a member of two National Title-winning Charleston teams in 2017 and 2019, the first two national titles in school history. Oliveira earned his Business Administration degree from the University of Charleston in 2020, and his Masters in Science of Strategic Leadership in 2022 from the same institution.
