Substituted on during the 25th minute against California (Sept. 6) ... Made his first start of the season against Providence, receiving his first yellow card of the year (Sept. 19) ... Started his second consecutive match against New Hampshire (Sept. 22) ... Manned the back row for a complete match against No. 22 UNCW, helping keep the Seahawks without a shot on goal for nearly an hour (Sept. 26) ... Before NU: Played for the FC Bolts Celtic of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy for eight seasons for coaches Marco Coolman and Brian Ainscough, including one season as captain … Also played three seasons at Thayer Academy, where he was a top five scorer in the Independent School League … Was named All-ISL following his junior season.

Personal: Son of Bruce and Elyse Balder … Has two siblings, Josh and Spencer … Intends to major in Business and Marketing … Class of 2018.
