Bowie joins the Huskies from Gainesville, Fla., where he served as Lead Senior Coach for the Gator Swim Club. In this role, Bowie gained valuable experience working with swimmers across all levels, from club and high school competitors to collegiate and professional athletes. He prepared athletes for both high school and club championships while also assisting the professional training group, with a particular focus on developing distance swimmers.
Before his career in Florida, Bowie spent four seasons at Gordon College, where he served as head coach for the last two years. During his tenure as head coach at Gordon, Bowie earned back-to-back North Atlantic Conference Coach of the Year honors while leading the Fighting Scots to continued success in the conference. Under his leadership, the program produced a NAC Swimmer of the Year (2024) and a NAC Rookie of the Year (2024). Bowie has overseen 236 personal records for the Fighting Scots, averaging nine per person, per season. Before taking over as head coach in June 2022, Bowie served as assistant coach for Gordon's men's and women's teams for two seasons beginning in fall 2020.

Prior to his time at Gordon, a former NCAA Division III student-athlete, Bowie was a four-year letter-winner on the Keene State College men's swim team. A Massachusetts native, Bowie grew up in Lexington, Mass.
