Lindsay Berman

Lindsay Berman returned to her alma mater as an assistant coach in August 2018. Since arriving back on Huntington Ave., Berman has helped guide the Huskies to five-straight Hockey East Championships, three-straight Frozen Four appearances, a first-ever appearance in the National title game in 2021 and four Beanpot titles (2020, 2023, 2024, 2025).

Ahead of the 2022-23 season with the Huskies, Berman was named an assistant coach for the 2023 U.S. Under-18 Women's National Team, and helped guide Team USA to a bronze medal at the 2023 IIHF U-18 World Championship. Berman also serves as an assistant coach for the U.S. Collegiate Select Team during the summer.

Berman guides the Huskies’ penalty kill unit, which has finished with a penalty killing percentage above .870 over the past six seasons. In 2020-21, the unit allowed just three goals on 64 power play opportunities, for a .953 penalty killing percentage, the Huskies’ best mark in the Hockey East era (2002).

Berman was instrumental in the development of four-time All-American, two-time Patty Kazmaier Top-10 Finalist and three-time Hockey East Best Defenseman Skylar Fontaine. Under Berman’s tutelage, Tuva Kandell, Jules Constantinople, Abbey Marohn, Maude Poulin-Labelle, Brooke Hobson, Megan Carter and Fontaine all earned All-Hockey East recognition. Carter earned Hockey East's Best Defender honors and Paige Capistran was named the Hockey East Sportsmanship award winner.

Prior to returning to Northeastern, Berman served as the head coach at UMass Boston from 2015 to 2018 where she was named NEHC Coach of the Year in 2017-18. Before being named head coach at UMass Boston, Berman spent a year with Brown (2014-15) as an assistant coach and was an assistant coach at UMass Boston from 2011-14.

During her playing career with the Huskies, Berman posted 62 points from 2007-10. She played professionally for the Boston Blades (2010-14) and the Connecticut Whale (2015-16) and served as a practice player (2016-17) and assistant coach (2017-18) for the Boston Pride.
