Biography

2020-21:
  • Led the third varsity eight to a first-place finish over URI crossing the finish line at 8:10.4 (4/24)
  • Stroked the third varsity eight over URI and BC to a final time of 8:30.4 (5/2)
  • Crossed the finish line in third-place at 7:07.32 with the third varsity eight boat as the stroke seat at the CAA Championships winning the title (5/16)
2019-20:
  • Did not compete in the spring 2020 due to COVID-19
  • Stroked the club eight to a top-25 finish at the Head of the Charles (10/23)
2018-19:
  • First-place finish over Columbia, Dartmouth, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Boston University in the petite final. Finishing in only 6:59.00, in the four seat in the second varsity boat at the Doc Hosea Invite (3/30) 
  • Helped the second varsity to a victory over BC and BU at the Council Cup (4/6) in only 7:03.297
  • Was the six seat for the third varsity as they finished first with a time of 7:14.088 at the CAA Championships (5/19).
2017-18:

Before NU: Competed annually for five seasons at state championships for Toowong Rowing Club ... Competed for five seasons for Brisbane Girls Grammar School for rowing, water polo and track and field ... Participated in the Queensland State Pathway Team (2016) ... Second-place finish in the open women's 8+ in both Southern Queensland and Queensland School State Championships (2015) ... Finished third in the open women's 2- at Southern Queensland ... Championed the Schoolgirl 8+ with the fastest boat at the Head of the Tweed (2014) ... Dux of the School of Senior Physical Education (2016). 

Personal: Isabel Jayne Gerber was born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia ... Parents are Andrew and Nicole Gerber ... Has two sisters, Sophie and Stephanie ... Chose Northeastern for the physical therapy program, co-op opportunities, rowing coaches, team environment, the city of Boston and campus ...
