Kia McNeill completed her second season as an assistant coach of the Northeastern women's soccer team in 2015. McNeill joined the Huskies in July 2014 after previously serving as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Boston College, from 2009-13.

As both a player and a coach, McNeill is no stranger to success at the collegiate level. The Avon, Connecticut, native started all four years at BC, appearing in 86 consecutive games and racking up 61 career points. The Eagles appeared in the NCAA Tournament all four years during McNeill's playing career and qualified every year during her tenure on staff as well, making two Elite Eight runs (2009, 2013) and one Final Four (2010).

After graduating with a degree in human development in 2008, McNeill started her professional playing career with the Swedish club team Kristianstad in the Damallsvenska women's league. McNeill native then returned to the United States in 2009 when she was drafted ninth overall by the St. Louis Athletica of the Women's Professional Soccer League (WPSL). McNeill played one season with St. Louis, before moving on to play professionally for Atlanta and then Philadelphia.

In the winter of 2011-12, McNeill took her game overseas once again to play for FC Rossiyanka in Russia. She then spent the summer of 2012 playing for the New York Fury (WPSL Elite) and the summer of 2013 playing for the Boston Breakers.
