Biography
2009-10: Indoors, finished in 12th place in the 200-meter dash with a mark of 26.87 at the Jay Carisella Track & Field Invitational…Finished in eighth place with a time of 1:01.85 in the 400-meter dash at the Harvard Open…Member of the winning 4 x 400-meter relay team with a first-place time of 3:56.07, finished fourth in the high jump with a leap of 1.62m (5’3.75) and recorded a 16th-place leap of 5.12m (16’9.75) at the Boston Indoor Games…Ran a leg on the sixth-place 4 x 400-meter relay time (3:55.08) at the New England Championship…Outdoors, captured fifth-place in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:00.17 at the Seahawk Invitational…Made history by becoming NU’s first-ever women’s CAA high jump champion after clearing 1.65m at the CAA Championship.
2007-08: Indoors, placed second in the 200 in 25.76 and ran on the winning 4x400 relay (3:52.87) at the Reebok Boston Indoor Games...took 10th in the 200 (26.05) at the Battle of Beantown...at the New England Championship, was runner-up in the 400 (56.15), took eighth in the long jump (17'6) and ran on the winning 4x400 relay (3:47.03)...outdoors, took 26th in the 400 (59.36) and ran on the seventh-place 4x100 relay (47.08) at the Florida State Relays...took 23rd in the 400 (59.14) and ran on the fifth-place 4x100 relay (46.60) and eighth-place 4x400 relay (3:51.11) at the CAA Championship.
Before NU: Attended the University of Wisconsin in 2006-07 before transferring to Northeastern...in high school, competed in track & field as a sprinter and long jumper all four years...two-year team captain...All-Conference selection every season...also competed for the AAU Central Florida Track Club 2006.
Personal: Born April 12, 1988...uncle, Clifford Martin, was an All-American in football at Grambling State...involved in student council, National Honor Society and Big Brothers/Big Sisters in high school...majoring in Behavioral Neuroscience...Class of 2011.
