Becca Mitchell was named Administrative and Personnel Coordinator in August, 2021. She oversees all aspects of the administrative functions of senior leadership at Northeastern including assisting with special projects and committee support as well as providing administrative and operations oversight for the department by serving as the liaison between the Athletic Director's Office, the athletic department, and campus contracts. Before being named Administrative and Personnel Coordinator, Mitchell started her career at Northeastern in October 2019 as an Athletic Facilities & Event Services Assistant where in this position, she was responsible for pre and post-event walkthroughs/breakdowns, scheduling student employees, assigning vendors, etc. for all events going on around campus including non-sporting events.
Before joining Northeastern, Becca Mitchell was Assistant to the Director of Hockey Operations at Colorado College for a little over a year where she handled administrative and organizational tasks and assisted in coordination of meal and travel arrangements for the team as well as tracking stats during the games.
Prior to Colorado College, Mitchell had worked as an intern for the Women's Hockey Department at USA Hockey in Colorado Springs. At USA Hockey, she assisted the Women's General Manager in efforts of improving the Women's Hockey Department from both an internal and external perspective by helping the department prepare for development camps and tournaments.
Before going on to join USA Hockey as an intern, she did lots of work with the athletic department at Merrimack working mainly as the Head Equipment Manager/Operations Assistant for Division I Women's Hockey. At Merrimack, Mitchell was in charge of upkeep with machines and equipment involved with the women's ice hockey program as well as assisting the Director of Hockey Operations with coordination and planning of women's ice hockey events. Mitchell also spent four years with the men's program as well in the equipment and operations field.
Originally from North Haven, Connecticut, Becca Mitchell graduated from Merrimack in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Sport Management. She had also graduated from Northeastern in the Spring of 2018 with a Master's Degree in Sport Leadership with a double concentration in Collegiate Athletic Administration and Professional Sport Administration. She currently resides in Everett, Mass.
