Delaney O’Brien returned to Northeastern University in January 2022 as an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. She serves as the primary media contact for the women’s hockey, women’s soccer and women’s rowing programs.
She returns to Huntington Avenue after spending a year as an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at Holy Cross. While at Holy Cross, she served as the primary media contact for men’s hockey, women’s basketball, field hockey, volleyball, men’s lacrosse and the men’s and women’s cross country and track and field teams.
O’Brien spent 2019-20 school year serving as the Jack Grinold Athletic Communications Intern at Northeastern. Prior to Northeastern, O’Brien worked as student intern in the athletic communications department at Penn State, and was the primary women's tennis contact.
O’Brien graduated from Penn State in 2019 with bachelor’s degrees in broadcast journalism and communications arts and sciences. Additionally, she obtained a certificate from the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism.
