Northeastern Huskies

Kevin Casey

New assistant coach Kevin Casey was hired in the offseason ahead of the 2026 season, which will be his first season back with NU since his four-year stint in the 2010s. Casey returns to the Huskies after serving as head coach at Johnson & Wales University Providence from 2019-2025, where he compiled an impressive record of 144-102-1 (.586 winning percentage) and guided the Wildcats to four Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships (2021-23, 2025). Casey becomes the second-winningest coach in JWU program history and was named GNAC Coach of the Year twice (2021, 2023).

Prior to his successful head coaching stint, Casey brings valuable experience from his previous time at Northeastern, having served as an assistant coach from 2014-2018, where he oversaw the hitters and outfielders while also spending a season coaching the catchers. Casey was instrumental in the rebuilding process that culminated in 2018 with a 36-21 record and the Huskies' first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2003. During his tenure, the Huskies captured a pair of regular season championships (2017-18), posting a record of 65-46.
