He is responsible for managing the communications, marketing and video production units. Houde also serves on the Athletic Director’s Executive Team, is the primary media contact for the men’s basketball program and the sport administrator for the men's rowing program.

Houde arrived back in Boston following two years at the University of Massachusetts as the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications and Public Relations. While in Amherst, he oversaw the athletic communications efforts in addition to serving on the athletic director’s administrative leadership group. Houde played a leadership role in the rollout of the department’s new logo, marks and branding guide in 2020 and assisted in rebranding efforts across multiple athletic facilities. He also led communications efforts during a pair of fundraising campaigns in 2020 and 2021.

In addition, Houde served as the primary media contact for the men’s basketball, women’s lacrosse and field hockey programs, and also worked as the primary contact for the football program in 2021.

Houde got his start at Northeastern in 2012, spending seven years on Huntington Avenue including the last four as the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications from 2015 to 2019. He was the primary contact for men’s ice hockey, where he led two Hobey Baker campaigns in a three-year stretch, resulting in three finalists and the first Hobey Baker winner in school history (Adam Gaudette, 2018), and assisted in the execution of the Emmy Award winning Chicago Blackhawks’ “Signing Sikura” feature (2017-18).

He also worked with the men’s and women’s rowing programs and represented Northeastern on several committees including the CAA Academic Affairs Committee, Hockey East Marketing Committee, Beanpot Committee, Northeastern’s Varsity Club Hall of Fame selection committee and the department’s Gender Equity Committee.

Away from Northeastern, Houde worked as an official scorer at the NCAA Frozen Four from 2014 to 2020, in addition to several NCAA tournaments and multiple conference tournaments.

He graduated from Massachusetts in 2011.
