Nicole Adach, LMHC works in University Health and Counseling Services as the Student-Athlete Support Clinician, assisting the student-athletes of Northeastern in managing their mental well-being and developing the skills necessary to thrive both in sports and their personal lives. In addition to providing mental health support to student-athletes, she collaborates with coaches and teams on topics related to sports performance and mental health.

Adach received her master’s degree in clinical psychology from Saint Michael’s College and concentrated her graduate studies on athletic identity and its impact on athlete mental health. She has years of experience working in the mental health field as a therapist, as well as experience working specifically with collegiate athletes as a clinician and Mental Skills Coach, in addition to years spent working on several college campuses in multiple roles.

Nicole was a collegiate athlete herself, playing basketball at Saint Michael’s College, and has first-hand experience regarding the type of support that athletes both need and deserve as they navigate the many demands that come with being a student-athlete.
