NU Athletics partners with the Collegiate Licensing Company

ATLANTA – The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), the licensing affiliate of IMG College, today announced it has reached an agreement with Northeastern University to manage its domestic trademark licensing program, beginning in 2015.
 
Through the partnership, Northeastern will gain access to the leading brand protection, brand management, and brand development services that CLC currently provides to its nearly 200 collegiate partners in the $4.6 billion collegiate licensed segment of the retail market. The university's partnership with CLC will also allow the university to leverage best-in-class licensees, tap into key retailers, access exclusive retail intelligence, and participate in a range of national retail marketing programs.
 
CLC previously represented Northeastern from 1998 to 2004. The school's new five-year contract with CLC is effective Jan. 1, 2015.

CLC, the leading collegiate licensing agency in the U.S., has signed or extended its licensing agreements with more than 50 properties this year. CLC currently represents nearly 200 collegiate properties, including 25 bowl games and the College Football Playoff.
