The Northeastern women's soccer team tied the Hartford Hawks, 1-1, Sunday afternoon.

The first goal of the game came from Hartford junior Erin Mucha at 29:18. The ball hit the cross bar and bounced into the goal.

Northeastern did not respond until the second half when junior Jessica Pfeifer scored her second goal of the season at 69:11. Her attempt, off of a corner kick, deflected off of Hartford goalkeeper Liz Cook and rolled into the net to tie the game at 1-1.

Northeastern had a chance to score with 2:15 left in the first overtime, but Hartford's Cook forced North's shot to go wide.

Northeastern goalie Mariel Wilner made three saves, while Hartford's Cook made six.

The Huskies next play the Maine Black Bears Friday at 6 p.m. at Parsons Field.
