Box score

Senior Lindsay Berman's goal with 23 seconds remaining in regulation lifted the Northeastern Huskies (3-0-1, 1-0-1-1 Hockey East) to a thrilling 3-2 victory over the Boston College Eagles (1-2-2, 0-1-0-0 Hockey East) at Conte Forum on Tuesday night. Berman also added two assists for her second three-point game of the season.

The Huskies outshot the Eagles by a 46-28 margin, including a 21-shot assault on the BC net in the first period. Sophomore goaltender Florence Schelling stopped 26 shots in net for Northeastern, and earned her first-career win against Boston College.

Junior Lori Antflick opened the scoring for Northeastern at 3:57 of the first frame, scoring the Huskies' first goal for the second straight game. Her second tally in four games, Antflick needs just one goal to equal her career high for a season.

Boston College equalized the scoreline on the man-advantage 13 minutes into the second period when Mary Restuccia beat Schelling off a feed from Ashley Motherwell. It was the first power play goal surrendered by the Huskies this season.

Freshman Casey Pickett scored her second collegiate goal to put NU back in front four minutes later. Berman and senior Ginny Berg earned assists on Pickett's shot, one of her six attempts on goal in the game.

The Eagles pulled even once again at the 6:49 mark of the third as Allie Thunstrom tickled the twine off a feed from Alison Szlosek.

Berman put the Huskies up for good in the final minute, scoring her third goal of the season. Sophomore Stephanie Gavronsky and junior Kristi Kehoe were credited with assists; Kehoe now has a six-game point streak dating back to last season.

The unbeaten Huskies return to the ice on Saturday, Oct. 17 vs. Quinnipiac at Matthews Arena.
