Men finish ninth at New England Championships

WESTFIELD, Mass. –
Led by Wesley Gallagher's 12th place finish overall, the Northeastern men's cross country team finished ninth at the New England Championships on Sunday in Westfield, Mass. The NU women finished 29th overall, led by  Danielle Klein's 81st place finish.

Gallagher finished the 8k race in 24:42.72 to set the pace for the men's squad.  Sophomore Stephen Sollowin was next to clock in for the Huskies, finishing 29th overall with a time of 25:08.19.

Sebastian Putzeys and Zachary Fraeilli both contributed to the team finish, with Putzyes finishing 68th (25:35.70) while Fraeilli came in 92nd (25:52.56).

On the women's side, Klein completed the 5k in 18:42.81. Noelene Power and Jocelyn Hubbard battled throughout the race, with Power placing 157th (19:37.67) and Hubbard in 161st (19:39.44). Eryn Wheeler also ran for the Huskies, finishing 187th with a time of 20:04.97.

The Huskies will be back in action on Oct. 27 as the Huskies travel to Williamsburg, Va. for the CAA Championship.
